Scandinavian
Harp Course
The Alexander Technique is currently being integrated into instrument teaching with a number of professors at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo, Norway. Click on the first box above for more info, reading materials and links.
The Third Scandinavian Harp Course will be held in Gothenburg, Sweden in the spring of 2022. The course was cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic. Click on the box above for more information.
The prestigious Summer Academy in Oslo, held in the first weeks of August each year, currently incorporates the Alexander Technique.
Lidal North
John Lidal's Opera workshops have featured an in-house Alexander Teacher on a number of occasions. These have taken place in Oslo, Norway, and Crete, Greece.
Elective Courses
The Norwegian Academy of Music has offered the Alexander Technique as an elective course which is now in its 12th year (as of 2021).
Orchestra Engagements
Stephen currently works with three National orchestras in Scandinavia. Click on the box for more information and links to web pages.
Each orchestra has its own arrangement for sponsoring AT lessons. Some orchestras offer subsidized lessons that guests or temporary subs can sign up for too.
